Per APUS Student and Alumni Affairs Department, all organizations at APUS must go through a yearly review of their constitutions to be resubmitted as part of their standing requirements. The SDSS constitution went through a major update/revision a few years back to make it stronger and more effective. It’s designed to serve as an important guideline for SDSS officers and advisors to manage and operate SDSS and its flagship operations (Fulcrum Global, Professional Development Program, peer review, analytical briefings, podcast, articles, events, focus areas, etc.).
The SDSS constitution had some minor revisions that updated certain sections pertaining to new and existing SDSS assets and operations. The draft 2024 version of the SDSS constitution can be found below in yellow highlight on the following pages: Page 1, Page 10, Page 11, and Page 12. The changes that were made were basically for the year (2024 on Page 1), name of Fulcrum Global web host (Bluehost on Page 10), the use of a new mass email service (Brevo on Page 11), and change/update to the name of the Treasurer and Organizational Standards Officer (n/a on Page 12).
