It is that time of the year where we are required by AMU/APUS to review and update the SDSS Constitution and By-Laws. In 2020 we went through a major redraft and refreshing drafting process in order to clarify and strengthen the structure, guidelines, and compass of SDSS effectiveness going forward.
It’s important to note that the 2020 Constitution and By-Laws were drafted to become a stronger guideline and compass for the organization’s future leadership and membership as well as serving a basis for preserving continuity, and the important strategic role of SDSS as an essential organization in our related fields.
This year the leadership team of officers and advisors made updates marked in red ink on pages 5, 7, 10, and 11.
We particularly made updates regarding the advisory board; technology position; organizational digital infrastructure and assets; honorary members and partners section; and current SDSS leadership.
If anyone has any questions or proposed suggestions, please do so by Thursday, January 28th at 6:00 PM (EST).
Once the process is complete, we will submit the official 2021 version to APUS in order to meet the March 1st deadline. Thank you in advance! – Sam
