SAM KESSLER – Chief and Managing Editor, Writing Contributor, & Open-Source Analyst
Sam Kessler is one of the founding members of Fulcrum Global and is responsible for implementing its mission and vision. He is a freelance writer and consultant who writes on national security, global security, geopolitics, and business/finance fused topics and projects for clients and publications. In addition, he also contributes articles for other publications, magazines like Epoch Times, Asian Affairs Magazine, Overture Global, and NASE. This also includes C-level client publication projects and on his professional website/blog: www.samkessler.com. In addition, he is also Geopolitical Advisor for the North Star Support Group (NSSG), a global risk management firm. Sam has an M.A. in National Security Studies with a Concentration in Security and Intelligence Analysis as well as an M.A. in Intelligence Studies with Concentration in Intelligence Operations from American Military University, which is part of the American Public University System. His undergraduate degree is a B.A. in International Studies with a Minor in Economics from Bradley University. Sam also has an Intelligence Analyst Certificate from the Analyst Boot Camp (ABC) program at the Advanced Technical Intelligence Center for Human Capital Development (ATIC), which is now part of the Wright State Research Institute (WRI). While doing his master’s degree, Sam served as a Research Intern with the Hudson Institute Center for Political-Military Analysis, a Washington D.C. think tank. Prior to his master’s degree, Sam worked as a business writer/consultant, legal compliance analyst for a Wall Street hedge fund, and as a liaison/consultant for NGOs at the United Nations. Currently, Sam is also the President of the Society for Defense and Strategic Studies (SDSS) at American Military University.
LORINDA ROSARIO – Senior Editor
Lorinda Rosario, MPP helped establish the initial framework of the Fulcrum Global publication as the first Chief Editor. Currently, she continues working with the Fulcrum Global staff as the Senior Editor of the publication. Her role as Senior Editor is to contribute to the editing, proofreading, and peer review processes.

DR. FRANK C. DANESY – Writing Contributor & Peer Reviewer
Dr. Frank C. Danesy, Dr.rer.pol., PhD is the founder and CEO of Intelsource, a company specialized in corporate strategy, strategic intelligence, human resource management, and conflict resolution. Before his current activity, he held various high-profile managerial roles in the space sector. He is deeply familiar with space government and industry and with the politics and processes of international organizations. He holds master’s degrees in business administration, intelligence studies, and space science. His doctorates are in business administration (leadership and conflict resolution) and criminal justice (human counterintelligence). He has authored several books including Predicting Insider Espionage – A Five-Factor Model (in print).
JAMES W. WEICHOLD – Writing Contributor and Open-Source Analyst
Jim retired from the US Air Force in 2007 after 21 years of service. He served in two roles, one in aircraft maintenance and the other in security management. After retiring from the Air Force he got a job at Kennedy Space Center working in the test laboratories eventually managing one of the test laboratories. After the Space Shuttle was retired from service he started his own aerospace company, TYG Aerospace, and had contracts with Lockheed Martin. When sequestration began he lost his contracts at Lockheed Martin, closed the company down and began teaching at Santa Fe College in Gainesville Florida as a professor of Astronomy and Astronautics, where he continues to work today. He recently started another company, Weichold Aerospace & Defense, concentrating on the strategic implications of space and crisis management. He has a Associate of Applied Science in Electronic Engineering from the Community College of the Air Force; a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics from Washburn University; a Master of Science in Space Studies from the University of North Dakota, and a Masters of Arts in Security Management from the American Military University.
CAMERON GRISCHOTT – Open-Source Analyst & Peer Reviewer
Cameron Grischott was an active duty U.S. Marine from 2006-2011. During that time he was a Ground Communication Technician with 3rd Battalion, 7th Marines, with whom he deployed to the Helmand Province, Afghanistan in 2010. He has an A.A. in General Studies-Counterterrorism Fundamentals, a B.A. in Intelligence Studies with a concentration in Terrorism Studies, and an M.A. in Intelligence Studies with a concentration in Intelligence Operations from American Military University (APUS). He has been an analyst and peer reviewer with Fulcrum Global-SDSS since 2018.

Dustin Oaks is a freelance writer and consultant on foreign intelligence organizations and their cyberwarfare capabilities. He has a Bachelor’s in Intelligence Studies and is currently working on his MBA with a concentration in Information Management from American Military University (AMU/APUS).
BRIAN MOODY – Writing Contributor, Open-Source Analyst, & Peer Reviewer
Brian Moody is a former Marine Corps Combat veteran who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. He is employed by the Transportation Security Administration and he worked during FY15 as a State Department Virtual Student Foreign Service intern on a project for the Army Research Laboratory during which he analyzed scientific-technical publications. Brian currently holds an M.A in Intelligence Operations from American Military University (AMU) where his area of study concentrated on East Asia and Pacific Rim issues. Brian is a member of the Kappa Kappa chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma and a former President of the Society for Strategic Defense Studies (SDSS) at American Military University.
RON BROOKS – Peer Reviewer
Ron Brooks is a dedicated Peer Reviewer for Fulcrum Global who enjoys reviewing and analyzing submissions. He looks at ways to improve their content and adds his insight when making suggestions. In addition, Ron enjoys searching for information and making connections with contributors pieces to other relevant items. Ron has more than 10 years’ experience with different types of investigations that deal with drugs, skip tracing, background checks, counterintelligence, as well as researching laws and regulations.

Allen Cline is a Contributor with Fulcrum Global who works in the security industry. He has an undergraduate certificate in counter-intelligence and is currently working on his B.A. in Intelligence Collection as well as his undergraduate certificate in intelligence analysis.

Brittany Lamon-Paredes is a professional in the defense industry and a reservist in the U.S. Navy. She has a master’s degree in Intelligence Studies, with a focus on Intelligence Analysis at American Military University (AMU/APUS). In addition, she has a bachelor’s degree from Wellesley College with a political science and anthropology background. Brittany has expertise in both tactical and strategic level analysis as well as her background in U.S. cyber defense and deterrence strategies. She also contributed a piece on user content and social media intelligence to InCyberDefense, which is a publication of American Military University (AMU/APUS).
SHELOMO ALFASSA, MPA, CEPD – Writing Contributor
Shelomo Alfassa is Director of Communications and a homeland security analyst for VIRSIG, LLC. He has worked in Public Safety for 25 years and has served with FEMA on several deployments as Deputy Commander of a national CBRN team (G8 Summit, the Atlanta Olympics, etc.). He has a BA in Homeland Security and an MPA in Emergency Management at American Military University (AMU), which is part of the American Public University System (APUS).
WAYLAND BLUE – Writing Contributor
Wayland Blue volunteers as a researcher with Shade Tree Foundation, a Thai NGO focused on aid and development in the Burmese migrant and refugee community. He also serves as a reservist with III MEF. He previously served as an active duty Marine officer in I and III MEF holding billets including platoon commander, company commander, and Battalion Logistics Officer, and was deployed to Afghanistan in 2014 supporting retrograde operations from RC-SW. He holds a BA in Political Science from UC Berkeley and an MA in International Relations and Conflict Resolution from American Military University (AMU), which is part of the American Public University System (APUS). MARK KASS, Ph.D – Writing Contributor & Peer Reviewer
Dr. Mark Kass is currently Managing Director for Ph. Diversified Services, Inc., a global political risk and consulting firm. In addition, to his duties with this organization, Dr. Kass is active in the academic world teaching International Relations and other subject matter for several universities; teaching students at the Doctoral level to the Undergraduate level throughout the world. Dr. Kass is also an active blogger.
PAUL SEIBEL – Writing Contributor
Paul Seibel is a Writing Contributor with Fulcrum Global (SDSS) and a Eurasian Regional Analyst with National Security Policy and Analysis Organization (NSPAO). He has a background in law enforcement, including corrections, patrol, and SWAT, as well as data analysis. Katherine Sharp is a Writing Contributor with Fulcrum Global (SDSS) and is currently an analyst at the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD).
